Has Your Pain Overstayed Its Welcome?

If your pain has overstayed its welcome, you should know that you have more treatment options today than ever. Here are eight techniques to help reduce your pain that does not require an invasive procedure or a prescription.

While the following therapies have not been wildly studied to validate their scientific efficacy, you may find some of these techniques beneficial for your current situation. I encourage you to research before deciding if one of these techniques may be right for you.

  • Red Light Therapy - Has been shown to; ease sore muscles, joint stiffness, and soreness often associated with arthritis, autoimmune diseases, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries. Red light can diminish inflammation, reduce muscle spasms, increases blood flow, and accelerates muscle repair by stimulating your mitochondria and stem cells for faster recovery.
  • Infrared IR Saunas - Have been shown to; relieve back, neck, muscle, joint, and arthritis pain with infrared sauna heat therapy. Infrared saunas can reduce this inflammation by increasing circulation and relaxing your muscles. Bonus! You can burn up to 600 calories in one 30-minute session.
  • NAD+ IV therapy or oral supplementation is an enzyme that helps convert the food you eat into cellular energy, repair DNA, and fortify your cellular defense system. NAD+ has been shown to;  promote stem cell renewal and regenerate mitochondria decreasing inflammation and reducing oxidative stress.
  • Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) - Has been shown to; improve circulation, blood flow, and cellular function, resulting in the decreased low back, neck, and joint pain, better sleep, and reduced chronic fatigue symptoms.
  • Whole Body Cryotherapy - is when the entire skin temperature is rapidly cooled (not core body temp). The flight or flight response causes your body to infuse itself with anti-inflammatory proteins and added oxygen.
  • Hyperbaric O2 Oxygen Chamber - Air pressure is increased 2-3 times higher than normal air pressure. This increases the oxygen carried through your blood, stimulating growth factors and stem cells to promote healing.
  • Sound Bath or Music Therapy - a meditative experience that promotes relaxation, decreasing stress levels, and heart rates, with an inner sense of calm that may help reduce chronic pain.
  • Foundation Pain Index - (FPI) is a urine test that assesses abnormal pain biomarkers and nutritional deficiencies and recommends specific supplements to improve chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, and neurotransmitter function.
